Mr. Kennedy began his career with the Robinson-Humphrey Company advising his client base primarily on fixed income and tax advantaged investments. After this Kennedy moved to Alex Brown & Sons and concentrated on advising and handling portfolios for high net worth individuals and families. While at Alex Brown & Sons, Kennedy developed his methodology of volume analysis and created the original money-flow algorithm models. In 1989, Kennedy founded Divergence Analysis and for almost three decades has been advising a private client list of hedge funds and mutual funds and leasing institutional money management firms his volume/velocity models, serving as an advisor, and outsourced portfolio manager for a cumulative assets under management of over 24 billion. Kennedy serves as CEO of Divergence Analysis Inc, and Chairman of DVAN APPS LLC, DVAN Private Clients LLC, and DVAN Capital Markets LLC.
Over a 16 year period Mr. Kennedy served posts as founder, Treasurer, and President for several non-profit organizations in Cartersville, Georgia, and served two terms as an elected member on the Board of Cartersville’s City School system as Finance Chairman. He and his wife make their home in Atlanta, Georgia. Kennedy holds a business degree in Accounting from Georgia State University.
