Scatter Plot Charts
Overview
Scatter Plots are included in the Market Intelligence Charts available for Professional and Enterprise Services clients. Using simple scripts it’s possible to create visualisations based on any technical value. This example shows the US SPDR Sector ETFs with weekly percentage change vs volume over a 5 day period:
It’s also possible to add a third script on the Z-axis for a 3D version:
To open a scatter plot chart go New > Multi-Code Chart > Market Intelligence Chart > Scatter Plot.
Using the history slider you can adjust the time frame in view (the codes tail length) to plot a code’s trajectory over the scatter, looking for statistically important events such as clustering, or divergence.
