Overview

The Script chart allows you to display the results of a script formula for multiple codes and view them in one chart. This example shows the ATR(14)% values to compare the volatility of the ASX Sector indices:

This type of chart can work with scripts that produce a real value that can be plotted in a time series: note that it can’t be set up with Boolean true/false scripts. If you need to use a Boolean script, the Column Chart should be used instead.

To open a Script Chart, click the New menu, go to Multi-Code Charts and select the Script Chart option and select the symbols required. The chart will open with the default formula, so click on the Scripts property and click on the 3 dots to open the Script Editor window and enter the formula required.

Scale Type: In cases where codes with very different values are being used you can swap between Real Values (lines are unadjusted, scale will fit max / min values into view), or Normalised, which will unlink the script lines from each other, in a similar way to overlaying two charts does where the layers are unlinked.

Logarithmic: Allows you to set the scale type between Standard Scale and Log Scale.
