Overview

If the selected live data provider has a News feed available then this can be accessed in Optuma.

To open a News chart, left click on the New menu, navigate to the Live heading and select the News Chart option.

News Channel Selection

It is possible to select which Channels a news feed will be sourced from.

By default all available channels will be selected, simply deselect the channels that you don’t require to display a news feed from.

Using the News Channel search feature it is possible to quickly search and locate news items on a particular security or topic. Just type the ticker symbol or even a news subject to find matching articles.

Displaying the Full News Article

If you locate a News headline and would like to view the full article, simply double left click on the article. The article will then be retrieved from the live data servers.

The status of the article retrieval will be displayed next to the headline in the News Chart.

Opening a Chart

To open a chart from the News article roll your mouse over the ticker symbol and then left click on the open chart icon as pictured below.

A Chart preview will then be displayed.
