Gann Measured Degree Line
Overview
The Gann Measured Degree Line calculates a user specified degree angle (based on the time/price ratio) from a selected range. The lengths of the lines are also calculated from this range, identifying potential turns in the market.
Optuma determines what the price value movement should be from the scale of the chart to which you have applied the Gann tool. However, if it doesn’t seem to ‘fit’ the chart you can manually adjust the Price Unit field in the Properties panel. For example, if the tool’s Price Unit is set to the same as the chart’s Time/Price ratio then the 90° line will be a geometric 90°:
To add the tool to your chart, select the tool from the Gann tool group, and left-click on the first bar you want to calculate the tool from. Next, left-click on the bar where you want to calculate the tool to. Optuma will then draw the tool using the default settings.
