Results Window
Overview
Once a scan has completed, any codes that have passed the criteria will be displayed in the list / table at the bottom of the Scanning Manager.
There are a number of things you can do with the codes listed in the results window.
Export Results
The Export Results button located below the scan results will provide the following options.
Create New Workbook
The Create New Workbook option allows you to save the codes listed in the table as pages in a workbook. When you select this option you will be prompted to enter a name for the workbook:
Enter a name for the workbook and click the Save button.
*Note: The workbook will be created, and available to access via File - Open Workbooks*
Add to Current Workbook
The Add to Current Workbook option allows you to open the codes listed in the table. The codes are added alongside any existing charts that you may already have open.
Open Results As
The Open Results As provides the option of option of displaying the results as a chart using an existing template or page layout and depending on your version and available add-ons the following options will be available: RRG, Watchlist, Watchtiles, Relative Comparison Chart, Spread Chart, Market Intelligence Chart or saved as a Manual List.
This means that if the results are opened in a Watchlist for example and that was then saved as part of a workbook, when that workbook is opened the next day the watchlist will run the scan and the list will automatically update. (Note: to remove the link to the scan and have the list remain static you can untick the Linked to List box in the Watchlist properties).
Export to CSV
The Export to CSV option allows you to save the codes listed in the table as a CSV file. CSV files can be opened in programs such as Notepad, or MS Excel.
When you click the Export to CSV option you will be prompted to enter a name for the CSV file:
Enter a name for the CSV file and click the Save button.
Apply Analysis to Results
This checkbox gives you the option to apply the tools which were used in the scan automatically to the charts opened via the results window.
(Moving Average for a Moving Average Crossover scan, for example).
Opening a Chart for a Single Code
You can open a chart for a specific code in the list by hovering your cursor over the Code. A preview window will display:
Left-click on the preview window, and a chart will open.
