Workbook Features
Overview
This article will cover a number of features available in Optuma Workbooks. Right-click on any page tab to see a menu item.
Order Pages
The tabs contained within your workbooks can be automatically sorted in Alphabetical Order, Tab Colour, or Tab Image.
To order your pages, right-click on a page tab:
In the menu displayed, go to the Order Pages section, and in the window displayed, left-click the ordering option you would like to use.
To customise the Colour Sort and Image Sort, drag and drop the items to their required position in the window that is displayed.
To manually order the pages left-click on a page tab and drag it to the required location.
Cloning Pages
To save time recreating your work it’s possible to automatically clone the current page. Right-click on the page tab and select Clone Page and it will be appended to end of the workbook. This will allow you to make changes to the chart without impacting the original version.
Close Pages From Here
This option can be used to remove a number of pages at once. When selected, the current page and all the tabs to the right of it will be closed.
Copy Page to Workbook
Use this Action to copy a page tab from one workbook to another.
- Select this Action after right-clicking on the page tab that you wish to copy, and a window will pop up.
- Select the existing workbook you wish to add the page tab to and select Save. The page will be added to the end of that workbook. Alternatively, type a workbook name to create a new workbook. You can then delete the tab from the open workbook if it is no longer needed.
Export Page
To share individual pages and Chart Layers with other Optuma users use this option to create a new file to send.
Import Page
Use this option to import a page from another workbook.
Auto Page Cycle
You can set up Optuma to automatically cycle through all pages in the Workbook you have opened.
To begin cycling through your pages automatically, right-click on a page tab.
In the menu displayed, locate the Cycle Pages action and left-click it once.
Adjusting the Page Cycle option changes the length of time each chart appears on the screen e.g. 5 seconds.
To stop the auto cycle, left-click once on a chart.
*Note: This feature can also be enabled from the page control button located in the top-right corner of the page. Left-click to toggle the page cycle on and off, and right-click to set the cycle speed:*
Save Page as Image File
This option creates an image file of the current charting window that can be emailed or pasted into other documents. By default the images are saved here:
Documents\Optuma\Images
Changing Page Tab Names
You can adjust the name of a page tab by right-clicking on the tab. In the menu displayed is an option called Page Name.
Enter the new name you want the tab to display, and press Enter on your keyboard. The tab will update to display the new name.
Page Tab Icons
There are 36 Page Icons available for you to choose.
To adjust a Page Tab Icon, left-click once on the Page Tab to select it, then right-click it.
In the menu displayed, move your cursor to the Page Icon item and left-click the drop down arrow, a list of available options will be displayed:
Locate the desired icon, and left-click it once to apply it to the Page Tab.
Page Tab Colours
There are 36 Page Colours available for you to choose.
To adjust a Page Tab colour, left-click once on the Page Tab to select it, then right-click it.
In the menu displayed, move your cursor to the Page Colour item and left-click the drop down arrow, a list of available options will be displayed:
Locate the desired colour, and left-click it once to apply it to the Page Tab.

Deleting Page Tabs
Located on the right-hand side of each page tab is a small red x icon.
Left-clicking this icon will delete the page tab from your workbook.
