Chart Element
Overview
The Chart Element tool lets you create a text label which displays a single field from the standard fields list (Name, Sector, % Change, Volume, Timeframe etc), as well as Fundamental data (eg Sector, PE Ratio, Market Cap) and even script formulas (eg % from 20MA, RSI(14) value). This is very useful when taking screenshots or copying the charts in to documents or social media posts (click here for a video on how to easily take screenshots of your charts).

To add the tool to your chart, select the tool from the Price tool group, and left-click on the chart where you wish to apply the label. Optuma will then place the tool on the chart using the default settings, from which you can select the relevant Field property:
You can also add each label as a separate button on your custom toolbar, so they can be added to your chart with a couple of clicks:
Actions & Properties
Actions
Add to Toolbar: Adds the selected tool to your custom toolbar.
Apply Settings to All: When multiple Chart Element tools have been applied to a chart, page or workbook, this action can be used to apply the settings of the one selected to other instances of the tool. This is a great time saver if an adjustment is made to the tool - such as line colour - as this allows all the other Chart Element tools in the chart, page or entire workbook to be updated instantly.
Copy Tool: Allows you to copy the selected tool, which can then be pasted onto a different chart window.
Move to Back: If the tool is displaying in front of other tools or indicators clicking this action will move the tool view to the background.
Move to Front: If the tool is displaying behind other tools or indicators on the chart, clicking this action will bring the tool to the forefront.
Restore Default Settings: Click this action if you have adjusted the default settings of the tool, and wish to return to the standard properties originally installed with Optuma.
Save Settings as Default: If you have adjusted any of the tool’s properties (colour, for example) you can save the adjustments as your new default setting. Each time you apply a new Chart Element to a chart, the tool will display using the new settings.
Delete: Deletes the tool from the chart.
Properties
Tool Name: Allows you to adjust the name of the tool, as it’s displayed in the Structures Panel.
Field: Select a single field from the standard, fundamental or scripts list.
Script: When Field is set to Script this property will display. Clicking it opens the Script Manager window allowing you to edit the selected script.
Field Type: Allows you to manually override the display style of the selected element from Auto, to Text, Number, Percentage, Date, or Currency.
Label Alignment: Allows you to select how the Chart Element is aligned against the tool’s anchor point. There are 8 options available: Top Left, Top Right, Centre Top, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Centre Bottom, Centre Left, Centre Right.
Font Size: Allows you to adjust the size of the text displayed for the label. Moving the slider bar to the right increases the font size.
Font Colour: Changes the colour of the label. Clicking on the drop down arrow will display a colour swatch. Locate the desired colour and left-click it once to select it.
Show Title: When selected will display the title of the chosen field, e.g. Market Cap, Volume.
Lock To Time/Price: When selected the Chart Element will remain at a fixed position on the chart. By default, it is a floating label.
Show Background: Selecting this check box will add a background to the Chart Element.
Show In All Layouts: When using Chart Layouts select this option to show in all charts.
Tool Transparency: Use this slider bar to adjust the transparency of the tool. Moving the slider to the left will increase the transparency of the tool.
Visible: Un-tick this checkbox to hide the tool from the chart.
